No Time Alone

My wife and I are very much in love and do enjoy each others company. However, she doesn't have any hobbies and very few friends. I have hobbies and like to see friends. But also think it's very important to have alone time. Just to concentrate on your own feelings and thoughts. I do not get this time alone. My wife is either always home or even on the brief moments she actually makes plans. If she finds out I've had an early finish from work she will cancel her plans so I get no alone time. She always makes up silly excuses as to why her plans have now changed but it always seems to be when I finally get a moment to myself. It's infuriating and getting to the point where I feel like I need to lie about a rare early finish or even just book a hotel and say I'm working away for the night. This would purely just be to have some alone time with mu own thoughts and not have to be with anyone. Is this a normal thought or am I weird

No you're not weird. It just means you require your own space every now and then. I make sure I have me time, which enables me to enjoy the time I spend with others.
