hi all im a 29 year old female i was diagnosed with cancer when i was 16 as a result of chemo and radition i lost most of my bladders strength. i do kegel exercises daily. i am supposed to wear diapers because i usually can not hold it when i need to pee. i cant keep a boyfriend because of this. i hate the diapers because they are so thick. i have talked to my doc. several times. but he says theres not much i can do.he suggested i wear a catheter. i dont want that. when ever i wet my self in public guys come up and want to help but thats it. one guy wanted me to people him and have sex.i just want to be normal again is there anything i can do to stop me from peeing so much and so quickly. if not its back to diapers or bladder control pads for me

Considering you were diagonsed with cancer, you should be grateful for being alive.

So what are you complaining about? You had cancer, so you could have died..... and you are so worked up about bladder trouble? Some people get cancer and end up alot worse. So shut the fuck up.

I suggest you try drinking less water, and when you are going to go out of the house don't drink water for at least 1 hour before leaving. I also suggest you wear a thin bladder control pad just in case of a leak. When you are at home though drink alot of water, but do wear a depends at night. (By water I mean any drink.)

Try askign your doctor if there are any support groups for people with your condition. Sometimes you dont liek things but when you go into a group that is a buntch of people with the same problem you learn and begin to accept your problem

My friend had cancer and did all the chemo etc etc but had no loss of muscle strength. What type of cancer did you have, and why don't you use the cath?
