Why Cheating Is Different For Men And Women

I've been married over 30 years, so yes, I have cheated on my wife. I did so only after bringing up my sexual needs and learning that a woman's libido generally ends after the birth of her second child and if not, then at the onset of menopause.

But my cheating is different. I am insert my penis into a vagina. I'm not containing semen but injecting it. I can't get pregnant and grow someone else's baby in me.

I could never forgive my wife for cheating, though.

The thought of my penis entering a vagina that is or was full of another man's sperm repulses me. And heaven help us if he had gotten her pregnant and she was carrying a life he'd made, inside her. As much as we don't want to acknowledge it, this difference does explain why it's so devastating when a man's wife cheats. If it hasn't happened to you, you can't imagine the pain. You know immediately that the marriage is over.

Wives, on the other hand, can forgive a husband's cheating, even if there might be some tears and yelling at first.

I think it should be a punishable crime for a man to have sex with a married woman other than his wife. Men who need to cheat should focus on single girls.

All women and men should get the HPV vaccine.

It is routinely given to young people and is available to adults, again, both women and men.

Yes, it's a much smaller deal than if my wife got pregnant and carried some other dude's baby inside her, in addition to the other consequences you mention, her becoming a parent and having to pay child support (assuming custody is shared).
