I Never Felt More Wanted Or Cared For

My wife passed away at 58 from pancreatic cancer. It was quick, less than three months, and I was alone dealing with settling in without her. A friend from work invited me to a party, this way I could meet some people.

I was totally unaware of his home life, he had a partner, an ex cop that he lived with. All the party attendees were gay and I was the only one on the outside. A man came over to me, he said his name was Alan, and he put his arm around my shoulder and took me out on the back deck and let me know that my work buddy had told him about my wife passing.

He related to me how he lost his wife to ovarian cancer when she was 42, leaving him to raise their children. He told me that he was there to lean my head on his shoulder. And with that he said 'come here' and he gave me a bear hug, 'a man needs to feel he is wanted and loved, you have friends here'. And with that he used his big hand to press down my head on his shoulder.

Throughout the evening he kept his arm around my shoulder. From time to time he ran his hand down my side, and once or twice ran his hand across my backside. At one point during the evening he kissed me, out in the open. I went home with him. It was my first time, and he was patient helping me get over my initial feeling of rejection. By morning, I woke up in his bed, what had been fiction, was now real.

This man had the intent and the method to draw me in, and not slowly. His idea was simple. What was, was. Now I had to make a new life, and if that meant with a man, then he was going to make that happen. I don't really have memories of my wife being that affectionate, all that hugging and kissing and spending quiet moments making love to my penis. I never imagined I would make love to a man's penis, but there I was waiting for him to cum all over me. There was no doubt, not from the very first minute, that he was a top and I was the bottom, and he made his point often.

It's been a year now since my wife died, and it's been close to a year now that I'm 'dating' him. We go to places, lots of parties, but also taken a trip or two and one cruise with activities for gay men and women. Under my nose, right there in my community, is a large community of gay men and women. I won't say I have met them all, but I've met a bunch of them. Some I knew casually, and now in a different circle.

Why my coworker invited me is a mystery. He sensed something, a sixth sense, and he introduced me to a man who would take it to the next level. I wish I could say that I went kicking and screaming, but from the first time he put his arm around my shoulder I felt something I had never felt before. His kiss was warm and welcome, his hand down my back, across my backside, welcome. His undivided attention when I needed it. Waking up next to him. Go figure.

When my wife passed away suddenly, car accident and two days later she passed from the injuries, one of her friends came over and started just taking care of me cooking and driving me around for everything that comes with all of it. Week later she told me one evening I needed to relax and get some sleep, guided me right back to the bedroom and told me to lay down, She started undoing my pants and said she really knew this would help me relax and gave me a blow job. She told me she was here when I felt like I could move on, I kissed her right out of her clothes, she had an incredible body and I never thought I would ever be in bed with her. We grieved the loss of Jan together and it felt amazing to be with someone while going thru all of that because she was close to her also. Liz is like my wife was but even more sexual and I love her attitudes on things, her breasts are just amazing, still firm at sixty two and no enhancement from surgery, even told me I could see breast scan if I did not believe her and jokes all the time calling them her girls. Glad you were able to move on with a partner thru the grief also.
