A Diverse Opinion As To Women's Virtuous Obedience

At work I have a workmate. She is a strong Christian. Among other things she believes a woman's virtue is obedience. We have arguments about obedience, I hold God is perfect, I have no problem with obeying God's commandment, but man is imperfect, and subject to error. Ergo, obedience to man is obedience to error. My friend holds that man is God's masterpiece, woman his companion, ergo woman's obedience to man, is obedience to God's masterpiece.

We go round and round about it, is a woman foolish for obeying an imperfect man, or is she right to obey God's masterpiece?

We want to hear women's opinions, as men are imperfect, whereas women are the 'perfect' as men's companion.
