Cousin marriage is allowed in a number of states. Nothing to hide, nothing forbidden, family love is always the strongest!

On a practical level, cousins have enough genetic difference that you're not likely to have deformed babies.

I was 13 when I was sent for the summer to spend the summer with my aunt and cousins. I lived in the city and they lived on a farm. I'd never been to a farm before. I had lived in a conservative household and had been kept mostly sheltered despite the availability of internet porn.

Turns out my aunt's oldest was via her and Mom's brother, and my late uncle was their second cousin. My aunt got pregnant for the first time at 14 so she told me that she was not one to judge young love. I was invited to move in with my aunt and cousins since my parents were on the verge of kicking me out. So I spent the rest of my growing up on that farm and boy did I grow up fast.

My aunt insisted that I stay in school and that the farm was profitable and she had money she inherited from her husband so she could support our entire enlarged family. Sue and I got married on my sixteenth birthday and she was pregnant with our second child at the time. We are still married but we don't live on the farm any more. Turns out Sue likes the city but we go back and visit her mom and sisters every summer.

Not one member of our family has any health issues related to in breeding. Our doctor told us that was something that takes many generations to turn into a problem if the closest relationship is between cousins.
