You Would Think A White Chick And A Brown Chick Can Walk Together

I grew up in an upper class neighborhood, far away from the east side. In college I met Bea, from the east side on a needs based scholarship. We got along and ended up sleeping together.

When I visited her family I was so marginalized because of my background. I was called rich bitch and why was I messing with Bea.

For three years I put up with their shit. I told Bea she was coming with me and we were going uptown. She's uncomfortable around money, and rich bitch people. It affects our love life. Tit for tat, when I'm around her kind I'm not that lovey dovey either.

I want to run away with her, maybe the west coast. Someplace where a couple of ladies can fit in. I'm tired of being looked at as fun time material by her people, and my people look down on her.

I can relate somewhat. I was in a bi racial marriage. I'm white my wife was black. She came.from a very well to do family and I came from a middle class family. It was my experience that it wasn't about our race so much that was the problem, but our socioeconomic backgrounds.

She passed from cancer. She was the love of my life. If you really feel between the two of you that you have something, then go for it. Who gives a fuck about whatever anyone else thinks or says, let your love and togetherness shine through all that shit.

It's a tough go, even out here on the west coast. So even if you come here, there will still be the negative fucks.

Remember, wherever you go, there you are.

I fell in love with a woman raised in a redneck trailer trash environment. Her family and friends would often mock me for my upper middle class background, as if I had somehow requested my birth family. I tired of being treated badly for simply being who I am so I started returning the favor if someone gave me a hard time by mocking them for growing up poor, ignorant and with a chip on their shoulder. When they gave me a hard time for growing up in a privelidged lifestyle I gave them a hard time for growing up in a broken down single wide trailer in a shithole town. I got into a few fights, but eventually I was accepted and respected for who I am, not where I came from. Din’t take shit from people who try to blame and use you to address their own insecurity, low self esteem or shitty life of zero accomplishments.

My son, white, has enjoyed two marriages to beautiful mature black ladies, the first one of which ended in the tragedy of cancer... his Mom and I love(d) both of them, and they both were-are fine people, and always welcome in our house! Can't imagine any other rational course of action, and am constant ashamed of the ignorance and bigotry, that is still rampant in most places...
