I'm One Step Away From Being Engaged, I Saw The Bill For The Ring

When I was a teenager I was in an accident and lost my left foot. Traumatic isn't the word. One day you are whole and then you are not. I don't care that other people have had it worse. I don't care that they can do so much now compared to years ago. I lost my foot, my stump is horrible and I have a lot of pain. It's supposed to go away in time, but time is now over ten years and I still have pain.

I don't really remember when I found this site. For some reason I like it, especially stories of finding out you are a lesbian. That's me. I found out I was a lesbian after my accident. Not only was a cripple, now I was a lesbian too. What man was going to want me. Yes, I still want a man to want me. I do not want to spend the rest of my life in some lesbian ice box. I've yet to meet a lesbian with her head on straight, not that I'm any different. I have lots of sexual issues. I wish I was normal and some man would sweep me off my feet.

I guess part of the burden is that you telegraph that you are a lesbian. Both to other lesbians, but also to men who may want to have an interest in you. Straight women seem to be the only ones that are surprised. Recently I got so close to a man looking for a wife. He had two kids and his wife left him, so he had trust issues. When he found out I was a lesbian he considered that lying and he lost all interest after that. So that leaves me one prospect, he is just too much older. If I have kids with him, he will be 75 before they finish high school.

Well what are my options. Spinster lesbian without a foot. Wife to a man who is already thinking about retirement. He knows I'm lesbian and of course about my foot, I've worked with him for six years. He doesn't care, sex is sex at his age. For me it just means twice a month not every week. But I want to get pregnant so I need him to have enough vigor for that.

He took me to see houses in this 55 plus community, he qualifies. The houses are new and nice, but the club is 100% seniors, I'd be the one everyone wants to know what's he doing with her. And I don't think I can invite my lesbian friends over. There's a house in a neighborhood I like, it's a mixed neighborhood, gay and straight. The straights are mostly gay friendly. I don't know how he will fit in. He's gay tolerant. I want to be able to socialize with my lesbian friends. He's tolerant, but not every day. A nearby neighborhood might work, but I pretty much know I'm going to end up in the 55+. Built in babysitters, and my lesbian friends will have to be on their best behavior.

I should tell you that my social group is all lesbian. The only straight woman I talk to is his daughter. Straights don't do gay very well.

I am not officially engaged but I consider myself engaged. I hold myself out as being engaged and not available for any intimate or sexual relationship. Yes, I went cold turkey. As long as he is the eligible bachelor I'm not going to mess it up.
