The Last Ten Years Have Been Difficult, But Now I Know Who I Am

I was a confused teenager with depression and guilt. One of five daughters, I was the black sheep, did not conform. I tried pot, but I got migraines, alcohol the same. I smoked two packs a day, stealing money from my mother's purse. I didn't have sex.

My mother sent me to a small college so I could fit in. I didn't do well academically. I got into a lesbian relationship with a girl, which I kept from my family and friends back home. I made the mistake of confessing to the priest at college. He gave me a guilt trip. I dropped out for a semester, and finished with an associates degree.

I worked as a clerk for an interior decorator friend of the family. I got into a lesbian relationship with a local girl who went to a different high school. She was all about gay pride, and she outed me to my family. I had to leave, I went back to my girlfriend at college, reenrolled and graduated. As far as my family I was disowned, they had a mass for my soul.

I was working in an office and a man that worked there 'had me for desert'. If I was confused, now I was really confused. Part of me screamed lesbian, but not after he had me for sex at that party. He took me to Las Vegas and married me. I knew immediately I was a married lesbian. He left me with my girlfriend but won't agree to an annulment or a divorce.
