In The Interest Of Some Off Grid Fun With A Nice Young Man, Merida

I have a friend who bought a place in Merida, Mexico. It's a condo in a six condo complex. It has a shared pool and outside kitchen, the condo is small but bright. Mexican motif all the way around. It's for escape weekends, when he wants a couple of friends down or he is looking for love in all the wrong places. My friend is fifty year old business owner. The condo is off the books, in my name. We are both fellow closeted gay men, college days roommates.

During our days we have escaped to far off places. Places where there are bars and clubs where we can meet young men to party with. Merida has such venues and we have been fortunate to have made a couple of young friends we can party with. For some reason, over time we have both gravitated to Mexican men who are attentive and affectionate, who want go make love not just show up for the errand. It is so rewarding to wake up with a nice young man beside you.

Needless to say, all this is under the radar, we presumably have business to attend to. The wives run the house and take care of the children, they have generous allowances.

I suppose that I'm bragging a bit, the condo was bought last October and this is our third long weekend. We are looking forward to a club where it's young men dancing and not girls. A night out with a young man who wants to kiss and be kissed, and later retire to the bedroom. If you happen to think about it, Mexico offers a lot of distractions, with men of all ages. So come on down, make love, and have a great time.

Viva Mexico, amigo. In ten days we will be dancing the night away.

I'm glad you guys have fun there, but sad that you feel you have to invest ten of thousands of dollars in foreign real estate and travel thousands of miles to live out your own gay identity.

You could make a different choice and be out at home. There are gay men of all ages to meet, right where you live.

These gay and lesbian shame posts harken back to the 1950s. It is hard to believe that they are real. They're just too numerous, and they all focus on shame, societal expectations, stereotypes, and unfulfilled desires.

To anyone who reads this, please don't mistake the confession for the views of a normal, well-adjusted gay or lesbian person.
