So I don't know what it is but everytime one of my super close friends has a brother I develop a crush on them. The first time it happened I got a crush on my friends younger brother. He was only like a year younger than me so the age thing was no big deal, what was a big deal was that my friend, his older brother, was not ok with the fact that we spent any time together at all. So I had to hide everything that happened between us from him. Eventually he found out that we had made out and such and we haven't talked since. Now my best friend has an older brother and I always thought he was a really cool guy but I never really thought I would ever develop a crush on him. Well last time I was in town, I live in another state for school, I spent a ton of time with him and we got really close. Now my friend said she wouldn't mind if we dated or something if we were like in love but she doesn't want it to be some fling. I don't know what to do I am way to scared to tell her that I am falling for him hard because of what happened the first time I liked a friends brother. I am scared I will lose another friend because of my feelings for their sibling.

I wouldn't worry about it too much...first off I would talk to your friend about the feelings you have for her brother. Tell her that you're not sure where it will go because you have not talked to him yet but are developing feelings. Then I would talk to the brother about what the status of the relationship is, or if it is a relationship at all. Best of luck to you...and as far as the other friend you lost, I think he may have had stronger feelings for you then you were aware of and that is why he decided to check out of the friendship. Either way, it's too bad he did but his loss I guess.

What's the problem?
Your friend said it was okay to be his girl friend as long as you were serious and you ARE serious.
Just go ahead.
