I Love My Husband, But…

My husband and I got married when I became pregnant at 16. That wasn’t our plan but life happened. At the time I guess we were in love. Or at least as much as we knew as teenagers we thought we were in love. But twenty years later we now just sort of exist. There is no real attraction or spark or emotion. Sex is functional but not romantic or exciting.

I work with a man I’ll call John. We are in different departments at a large company but our jobs cause us to interact frequently which is how we met. John is nice, kind, friendly, attractive and pays attention to me in a totally respectful way. Like complimenting my smile, or how my hair looks or an outfit I’m wearing. He is widowed 5 years ago and knows I’m married and I think respects that. He has never flirted or made a pass although I feel like he wants to. Our “relationship”, if you can call it that now includes having lunch together most days, and an occasional walk after lunch.

The problem is me. I want him, at least physically and sexually. When we are together I get very wet and my nipples get hard to the point I’ve had to bring a change of panties and started wearing pads on my nipples. I have not been made love to in years…or maybe ever…I don’t feel like what my husband and I do is lovemaking, if it ever was. I want John inside me, taking me, whispering to me intimately as he pounds away, just taking and claiming my pussy after gently licking me into a frenzy. . I want John to fuck me very hard for a long time and just enjoy my wet slippery warmth until he is ready. I want to make him feel pleasure and I want to feel him get off inside me…as I want to get off with him.

This will not happen unless I give it the green light and let him know I want it and that it’s ok. I don’t know what to do. I love my husband, but…

I’m giving you the green light def grounds for an affair. My wife wanted someone when we weren’t doing well. I was cheating at the time. We’re good now but I think she should have done it. Life is too short just do it

One of the good things about having kids in your mid-teens is that, by the time you're in your mid-30s, they're grown up and you are free!

No matter what anyone says, no couple sustains sexual passion for 20 years. That expectation is part of the lie of love and marriage. All it accomplishes is to make people feel inadequate when they fall short.

"There is no real attraction or spark or emotion. Sex is functional but not romantic or exciting."

Your husband probably wants a new 16-year-old to knock up. No matter what any man tells you, all men fantasize about something along those lines.

"I work with a man I’ll call John.
...
I want him
...
When we are together I get very wet
...
I have not been made love to in years
...
I want John inside me, taking me, whispering to me intimately as he pounds away, just taking and claiming my pussy
...
I want John to fuck me very hard for a long time
...
I want to make him feel pleasure and I want to feel him get off inside me…as I want to get off with him."

Just as your husband probably wants something different, you want something different. Let's unpack...

John is 5 years a widower, which means he's significantly older than you and your husband.

Do you have any unresolved issues with your father? What kind of presence did he have in your life? For you to like older men means your father was either very present, or not present enough. You could also consider how he treated your mother. Again, he might have been the perfect husband, or a terrible one. Witnessing either extreme gives a person daddy issues.

The psychology of your attraction to John is interesting, but it's just background information.

You want to fuck John, your marital sex life has reached its natural end, and your kid(s) are grown.

Do it! There is much less to lose from taking this man as your new lover than there is from sitting on the sidelines. How would you feel if a colleague snapped up John instead, and in a year, you had to contribute to the pool to buy their wedding g*ft?

The one thing I would say is to be honest with your husband. You don't have to tell him the sex sucks. He knows. Sex with you sucks for him, too. You also don't have to ask permission. Just tell him that you've met a man at work and he's going to be your lover. Let your husband know he's free to meet someone else.

As your two relationships evolve, you can decide whether you want to stay married to your husband and have John on the side, or whether you want John to be your main squeeze. Your husband can also, at any time, make the same choice about his new schmoopie.

Enjoy John, and also enjoy your marriage, a marriage that will henceforth be based on honesty and durable, platonic love.

If you'll permit me a general observation about these infidelity confessions - A key clue about the urgency, about the depth of the affair, is that the person confessing names (and personifies) the affair partner but does not name (or say much about) the husband. All the necessary psychological information is right there!

i’ve had several work FWB‘s. I can tell you it’s exciting at the time, but they always end poorly. Either somebody gets hurt, or fired, or divorced and lose their family over it. Buy a big dildo, get off with it as much as you need to and try to put a spark back in your marriage. That’s probably not the advice you expeced from a sex site, but if you were my friend, that’s what I would advise you to do. It won’t be the most popular but I can tell you it’s the best solution. if you have any doubts, just think what you would have to deal with if your husband found out. Because they almost always eventually do. If it’s a work situation.

You deserve to let loose. If you decide to leave your husband, is up to you. I’ve had affairs with a lot of married women. I always make it clear, it’s just an affair, no feelings. Most are good with that.

Anon3, I get where you are coming from about saving the marriage, but her husband is probably also frustrated by their sex, so he already knows. You can't put life back into something that is already dead. Twenty years is plenty for one marriage. Better for her to rip Band-Aid off her marriage and enjoy her colleague's dick in the meantime! He might even end up marrying her after she and her husband conclude their (possibly inevitable?) divorce! Wouldn't it be sad if someone else got to John before she was ready to take their relationship to a sexual level? Then she'd be effectively left without a husband and without a boyfriend, i.e., a lonely woman hurtling toward middle age. We don't want that for our friends here on AdultConfessions, do we?

This will end badly. Been there done that. How will you feel when your kids find out you were whoring around with some guy? It happened to me and it sucks. And yes hubby WILL find out and so will your kids.

Well i can't say what's holding him back, women today have the power to give the green light, you flirt with him I'm sure he will get the message and you will be getting a lot more.
