A Childhood Oath, Broken

As a schoolgirl I took an oath at church to avoid sex until I was married. High school was easy, college was not, but I kept my oath. But I'm 37.

I allowed a man to have sex with me. I followed him to another job. He's fifty one. He has been married and he is not interested in another wife. I was aware but I considered myself his common law wife. A convenient lie.
