My boyfriend's friend stayed with us recently when his girlfriend kicked him out.

One night about a week ago, my bf decided we would have sex, and just after we got started, he asked, is his door shut?
Meaning the friend who was in the empty bedroom just across from ours.

(We always leave our door open since there's usually no one else around.)

I assume so, I said, knowing full well that our door was open and so was his, because I'd taken a look across the hall just before we'd turned the lights out.
