As A Prelesbian I Became Close With A Man And We Have A Kid Together
I am a lesbian mother. It was unplanned. I was a college freshman and unsure about most everything, particularly about a major. I met a teaching assistant and he was very supportive, and I was taken in by him, and here I am with his daughter.
It was only after I left college that I met and became involved with a beautiful woman. One day things straightened out. When you have a man's daughter, believe me you are everyday involved with him. He never leaves, not that I want him him to abandon his daughter. It's that he us in my life want it or not.
My partner is tolerant, patient, understanding. "You let him boss you around, call the shots, you don't send him home'. All true, but that's the fundamental hierarchy with a man. He is the father of my daughter, and had I not met my partner I'd probably still be living with him.
Everyone wants to know if I have sex with him. I'm his daughter's mother, I don't think it's a good idea to push him away. You can accept that or not, but it's the nature of the beast. It's one more thing my partner has to accept, or we would not be in a live in relationship. My daughter crawls in bed with us, she likes her mom and father there.
Lesbian or not, once a man is in your life, and you have his kid, you don't move on.
