Now That I'm Married I Kind Of See His Decisions

I grew up 7th Day Adventist. Don't kid yourself, 7th Day Adventist are very religious and very socially conservative. Being of a certain age I rebelled and ran away with a rock band touring. It was a crowded van, but the leader insisted I ride shotgun, to keep grubby hands off me. I got first in line in the bathroom, fresh towel, privacy, he kept watch on the door. I slept in bed with him, not on the floor with the band members. He kept his backpack between us, so I needn't worry. He stopped on Sunday and looked for Church options.

We did KC, Chicago, Cleveland, NYC, then south to DC, Raleigh, Memphis. I got back as pristine as when I left, along with a story. He kept an eye on me, insisted I go to college. I had a late night shift at a pizza place, he escorted me home at night. One night walking, I was used to him walking me, I asked him why he treated me like a five year old.

He said the had a five year old sister. He literally would not touch me until we were married.

He probably neglected to mention that his sister was also his daughter. In these religions there is a lot of jncest. A code of silence means that no one tells.
