My daughter is 12 and she is going into grade 7. What if she asks to wear makeup... should i let her... and if so what should she be allowed to wear...

Frankly, I think 12 is too young to be wearing makeup to school. If she wants to learn how to apply it at home, that's something else. This is a good time to teach her that she's beautiful without a faceful of paint and to learn to be happy with who she is.

If you're going to let her do this anyway, stick with things that aren't too obvious - clear lip gloss or a little bit of mascara.

Let her paint herself up like a whore - with a mother like you she'll end up as one anyway.
