My Mother Was Right, Men Are Simple Creatures

I always thought she just let my dad run everything, truth was she more in charge around the house than I realized. She told me a few weeks before I was getting married that men are simple creatures and I would learn how to control him, confused I asked her how I was going to that and she told me with my sexual side. Do whatever he wants she said and surprise him doing things you never thought you would. I laughed at first then she went on telling me things I did not want to know really but it showed me who in their marriage really had all the power. I started thinking back to those times that shortly after my dad got home from work our mother would get doing something saying she needed to talk to dad about his day, be good and she would be back in a few minutes. How we often spent a weekend night with our grandparents, the two of them probably enjoying just time together or sexually ravishing each other. My mother was actually the one in charge, blows my mind to this day.
