How Do You Pay The Rent?

Twenty years ago I was home before my mother. We lived in an old apartment in a marginal, poor, part of town. A man came to the apartment and offered to pay me if I posed for him naked. All photographs were taken in the apartment, poor girls naked sort of thing. I was paid enough for rent that month.

My mother was angry and pretended to throw away the money, but it was rent so she kept it. I was a model for that man, always poor locations, poor clothes, trailer parks, dirty apartments. It paid the rent. I became to old and I moved on to dancing at clubs but avoided outright prostitution, enough to pay the rent.

I am the lover of a man who likes me, I live in an apartment he pays for. He pays the rent for my mother.
