When The Alpha Male Rules The Roost His Hens Fallow His Orders

I 'came out' at seventeen. I was considered an Alpha, captain of the soccer team. I had admirers, one of them was my girlfriend. She was quiet, and 'respectful', her father was number one in her life, not me. I screamed asking why she bowed to the patriarchy.

While I went to NW, she stayed home and went to a nursing school. All that time I had several girlfriends, but I was in love with her and I put up with her father and his views. Nothing could move forward without her father's blessings, which would never come for us. At 22 she became married, to a likeable Beta.

My heart was broken. I was beaten. What no one could do was won by a Beta. I ran away, joined a courier company, flying papers across the country. One of those deliveries was to a CEO of a large company. He was worse than her father, an Alpha male, with money and power. When he had deliveries he asked for me, and tipped me. I was too self centered to recognize he was buying me.

One of those days, he emphasized that the package was precious, a contract depended on me delivering on time, and get the signature. He offered me a special tip to remain focused. After the delivery, the signatures, I went back to see him, and collect my tip.

He admonished me for being single, for not having a man in my life, for not having children. I said I was too young, he said I was too old to not gave started a family. I left feeling something, I went back and apologized, told him I wasn't destined for that life. I was not meant to be with a man. His answer was one word, 'nonsense'.

I knew then why my girlfriend never challenged her father. I wasn't going to challenge this man. The expression 'has power over me' is what I felt. I didn't argue, I tried to distance myself, but like an addict I went back.

I'm pregnant but not married, he is the father, he wants it that way. His name will follow with his son, and I will be the mother. "If I behave and grow up he might consider me for marriage". A man twice my age, divorced, is the man I'm destined for, once I grow up? Or when he sees he is fathering a bastard son? Or he has a son born in wedlock to his mother and father.
