My birthday is approaching. "Officially" it's my 36th birthday. It's also my oldest son's birthday - his 18th. Everyone says "You look so young" and "I can't believe you and you8r husband are the same age".
And they're right. My next birthday will actually be my 30th. My son doesn't know - I married when he was 3 so he has no memory of anyone but my husband being "Dad". He has never met his biological father.
I managed to get married when I was 15 using the I.D. of a cousin of mine who had passed on a few months before. The driver's license photo looked enough like me to pass a not-too-close check. So I managed to skip from 15 to 21 overnight.
I've never had tyo worry about official background checks and the like - at least I've never been called on it. But with the way things are now, I'm terrified that I'll be found out. Would I go to jail for this? Would my husband? And what do I tell my children?
