Getting Kicked Off In Life Took A Couple Of Tries, But I Made It

My father had just been posted as a professor of Ag Eco when I met him. He was a foreign student. Lost on campus. He thought I was a freshman, he got handsy with me, I pushed him off, but that didn't work. I went to the kitchen and he followed. He got his arm under mine and held me by my left boob, I knew then I was losing my virginity that night. It was pretty disappointing really, what no one told me was how ordinary it would be, except for the obvious, forcibly held down while the act was completed. At least that's how I remember it.

I was sixteen, a freshman in high school.

I fell in love with him, but my parents didn't want him to see me. We were Baptists, Protestants, he was Catholic. I had to see him behind my parent's back. Then my mother came home from work early and caught us in the act on her bed. Fully engaged, bare butt and all. I got married six weeks later. The only freshman girl in my class that was married. My best friend since childhood asked me if it was true that you can do it from behind.

Fortunately I wasn't pregnant, and I got a real quick run down on avoiding it. The rhythm method. Keeping track of your fertility cycle.

Later, I learned he had a wife in his home country. And a son. My marriage was set aside, not divorced, never married. But not my reputation. I was a divorcee. Not fit to be a wife for any good Baptist.

In college I was at a study group at an apartment with some other girls. A guy came by, he heard there were girls there and he thought one of the girls could fix him a cup of coffee. Being the one who had experience with men I was assigned to fix him a cup of coffee. He figured since I was unattached I was now attached. I was his girlfriend.

He was serious, no nonsense, smart, tall, and older. To put it bluntly I had to look up to him, and after a while it's natural. I was overwhelmed by him. And overwhelmed I let my pants down, and without pants on I never thought about my fertility cycle. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am, and I was pregnant.

The ceremony was small, family only. Where he went I went, that was how it was done in those day, whether you were packing for one or for three babies. We ended up living in the Houston area, I never really worked, I got up every morning and put on the coffee.

Its been forty five years this weekend, when we stood under my father's gaze. My mother told me on my twenty third anniversary 'you didn't do too bad after all'. From her that was a compliment.
