The year was 1986, I was twenty six. I had passed the CPA exam and had good performance reviews. A position was up and I applied for it. A guy got the promotion. Three years later I was laterally transferred to supervise a clerical staff of women. I was the only woman reporting to that director. 'Why do you want this job?' she asked me.

I didn't have an answer. I met a man from another company, had kids and stayed home for ten years. I went back to work because I was bored. When I did I took s job reporting to a woman. Several weeks into that job I remembered that question 'why did I take that job?'

It took six months until I found a job, working for a man I liked, and stayed twenty five years. The policies changed but not the outcomes. A lot of cover ups and excuses, women do not make good managers, and are worse bosses. The worse thing to happen to women has been women's lib and feminist. No balls, isn't just a physical trait, men are made different.
