For All These Years I've Kept Quiet

Last year I took a holiday with some friends, all women. We saw the sites, ate the local specialties, before going back to our room, four ladies with two double beds. Playing cards in nightgowns the subject turned to what and where and how we lost our virginity. High School cheerleader gang banged, college sweetheart, stranger in Boston, and I said I was r**ed.

I didn't want to go there, but they did. A r**e was far more interesting than a cheerleader gang bang. I said to myself, tell them. I lived overseas then, a gang broke in to steal, me, my sister, my mother were all r**ed. Raped. My sister was 13, I was 16, our mother 41. It was brutal, with physical injuries, the authorities were surprised we were left alive.

We came back, went through years of counseling. My mother did worse, we were young and I suppose not old enough to understand all the consequences. My sister got married, she has five children, lives in the country surrounded by children and animals. For me, I avoided boyfriends, in high school and college. I was forced to accept it by a man after I started working. I'm divorced, but not really. We live apart, but he still has 'benefits'.

Sex is nothing more than masturbation with a real penis. I prefer sex in the dark, completely naked, with me, myself and I. He ruins it for me.

So, everyone's first time is different. But sex in front of your mother, while another thug is r****g your sister, is not good for memories. But that doesn't change that it happened. I've been told never to say that the men were black men, in Africa. We were targeted, it was intentional.
