He Has Always Liked Me

He always liked me, I could talk to him. That day he asked me to lunch and we went to the deli in the basement. I was making conversation, about a friend from high school. She had a rich father and he bought her a house. He listened, then he said this 'every woman can have a house, just have babies'.

I said 'what'. Sure, that's how women have gotten houses, and lived a good life. Have babies for a man. I told him that was in the old days, today women get knocked up and the guy takes a hike.

Well, he said he wasn't like that. Give him babies and he would give me a house.

One baby, stay home and nurse the baby. Two babies, stay home and take care of first baby, and nurse the second baby. And so on. That's how it worked. Did I want a house, or not?

Was he serious? Was he messing with me?

Back in the office he had me sit down. On a paper he wrote:

One baby, use of a house, monthly pay what I made.
Two babies, use of a house, 25% raise over what I made.
Three babies, the house is mine, 25%,raise over my two baby pay.

Four babies, married, no prenup.

Signed, dated, handed it to me for my signature.

I'm married, no prenup, full time at home. And the house is in my name.
