It Took A Long Time For Us To Admit It To Ourselves
I went to school where my friend was in school. She was there because her brother was there. She lived with him, his maid. I didn't like brother he was abusive with her. I lived with two roommates. Whether I liked it or not, I had to face him. One day she told me he was having sex with her, and she was expecting.
I made plans with her and we drove out of state for an abortion. She asked if she could room with us, my roommates agreed after we told them why. She moved into my room.
We stayed in school, her brother graduated and left. She got a degree in Biology, I got a Business Degree. We moved after college, she got a job in the pathology lab at the hospital, I went to work for an airline. We made enough together to afford a nice apartment. Regardless, after we moved in, she moved in with me. Under the covers.
I had never considered myself lesbian, nor she. But we lived like lesbians. After a year we had made love, become intimate. Still, we weren't lesbians, we wanted to meet a man in our life. A Dr who worked with her became interested, and after enough time they got married. At the reception I met a man who took his liberties with me. We both had a honeymoon night at the same time.
I eventually met a man who insisted on intimacy, I told him, that wasn't free to him. That came with a ring.
It's been twenty five years since college, we both have children, she got divorced and he moved overseas. We are real good friends, friends that meet for intimacy and love. We are lesbians.
