Words Of Experience From Grandma Have Come Home To Roost

I was a junior in college, and my cousin was a senior. We were at Grandma's and we were playing cards. She tended to remines about Grandpa and we listened and nodded our head. She started talking about him 'chasing young women'. Our eyes opened wide. She told us she kept track of them, and if they weren't 'respectful' she interfered.

Well, that was news to us. After the cards were put away, she asked us to sit. ''Girls, one day you are going to be married, when your husband reaches that age, it's up to you to find a young woman for him. One that's respectful."

We didn't talk about Grandpa and his extracurricular girlfriends for a long time. In Grandma's memory we agreed, it was time to find that young woman that was respectful. Our husbands were looking around.
