I'm Conflicted, My Lifestyle Is Afforded To Me

As a Financial Reporting Director I find myself having to live my image. I have younger women who find me to be a roll model for them. I have the credentials, but I was 'pulled' up as the secret mistress of an executive, not because I did a good job, at work. I am a good mistress.

It's not the money or getting a promotion that drove me into bed with him. I went down like a lamb. I became his mistress when he bought me a townhome, and put me on an allowance. I live a lifestyle that is not affordable on my salary. Young women are unduly impressed with what appears to them to be professional success.

Not all that you see is real. The truth is, living my lifestyle can only come from wealth not generated from providing professional services.

I'm 48, married to the same man for 20+ years, had three kids which are grown and I've worked for the same company since the late 90s as an intern.
It didn't take me long to figure out how to get hired full-time after graduation and get promotions and bonuses.
Over my career, I've had countless workplace affairs with bosses, managers and corporate executives while on company travel. It goes on, we all do it. I admit being the company slut. Did it help advance my career. You bet it did! Was I pressured NO!
Trust me, this is not some sobbing MeToo moment. Currently, I'm in a position to early retire. Thank goodness because AI is taking over most positions.
As far as I know, my husband has no clue about my workplace infidelities. Heck, he's friends and plays golf regularly with most of the guys I've slept with.
