A Southern Girl, Finds The 'one'
After college a professor helped me land a job in bookkeeping for a very wealthy family. My boss at the time was a sixty plus CPA. He was above anything I did. The family representative was a woman also in her sixty plus years who only cared about art. The offices were nice, with a staff of a dozen, including a lawyer and a secretary for all the social commitments.
Coming from a world where a nice birthday g*ft is a $25 g*ft card, a $400,000 for condo for Mary seemed a little much, especially since she had flunked out of college. I had an account for Family Gifts, by name, for reconciling against inheritance limits.
OK, so I meet Kerry, a NW student in Child Early Development. Kerry was more like me, and I woke up in her room overlooking the pool and tennis courts. We went downstairs and met her mother, who asked us if we had slept well. Very different from the day I was discovered with a senior girl when I was sixteen.
The CPA called me in and told me not to get involved, the help in accounting had to remain independent. Kerry didn't take that very well and I was assigned as her personal 'maid'. I moved to Evanston with her, to make her bed and washout her underwear. I was completely taken in by her, and she could not stay away from me. I tutored her, and washed her hair. We walked to pizza, and hung out with her friend's group, some were very politically involved.
One night, after all my chores were done, letting down her hair, and applying her face cream, and kissing her softly you know where. I told her, I did not like her friends, and they were a bad influence on her. Come away with me, put a ring on my finger, and we can go south to get away from her friends.
Choosing, being made to choose, was hard. But a girl needs to know who is her real friend, and whose using her. And it takes a ring, and 'I do', and moving away with me. We eloped before calling her mom. I know we are young. Here where I live, is the University of Kentucky where I went, and where she will finish school. We will make our home here, we will live on the family farm. Grandma said we can plant our roots here.
