Waking Up To Reality

I had finished this brutal late shift, adrenaline completely gone. Instead of doing the smart thing and going home, i went straight to my line cooks high-rise down the street. It was just easier, you know? My best friend, Ash was already looking at him like she was ready to pounce, so the whole group wound up crammed into his living room.

The second we walked in, the place was practically hot-boxed with smoke. I don't even smoke, but I let my hair down taking a casual hit off his joint because, honestly, the whole vibe was just pure, low-accountability. I used his bathroom and seen some random girl's hair tie and makeup wipes on the counter. A normal person would seen that and leave, but I wasn't even jealous of Ash; it just felt like a messy situation where the usual relationship rules didn't apply.

When we finally migrated to the bedroom, all the boundaries just completely dissolved. This guy didn’t do traditional, he immediately tried to run the room. He looks right at Ash and drops this intense, deadpan command 'Crawl to me in bed.'

And honestly? Watching her actually do it was wild. It completely flipped a switch in my head. I strip entirely and just threw myself into the absolute lawlessness of the moment.

He ends up pulling me out of bed and takes me standing up, slamming me right against those massive high-rise windows. Insane because the room was totally quiet, every single thump and the natural, heavy, skin-on-skin rhythm of deep penetration started echoing loudly off the glass and the hardwood floors. It was relentless. The blinds weren't even pulled, meaning we were visually exposed to the entire city. But the sheer noise, the exhibitionism, and Ash watching us from the mattress created this total sensory overload.

He was pounding me so hard against that window that my brain completely shut off. All my daily anxieties, my bills, and my family trauma just totally evaporated into the noise. For those twenty minutes, I was just completely broken in and loving the primal escape.

The literal next morning? The dopamine completely evaporated and reality hit like a truck. I woke up with my hair smelling terrible, looked over at Ash asleep and had this massive 'what am I doing?' epiphany. I looked at him and realized he’s literally just a low-status busser who manages a cheap, crowded restaurant carousel for validation. The emotional hangover was so not worth the physical high. I hit the ceiling right then and there.
