When You Love Someone, You Love Someone

I was born in Argentina but raised in Dallas. I am a lot more American than Argentinian. In any event I found after I turned 18 and I was in college that I wasn't 'American'. I had to return to Argentina. The only practical way to get back to the US was to get married. I married a classmate, the agreement is once I got my green card we would get divorced.

I re enrolled in college. What wasn't part of the agreement was any intimacy. Not a kiss. I was in one college he was in another college. On Halloween my roommate and I got dressed up, and went to a party. At the party my roommate kissed me, and said she was in love with me. We stayed together and agreed to live together after we graduated.

I was told to avoid anything that would question my marriage. A lesbian relationship was exactly that so we had to not live together and I had to live with him. He had waited long enough, a year and a half to graduate. He took matters into his hands. After he did what he did he wanted us to become seriously married. Seriously married was living together meant sharing a bed and brushing our teeth together. And I had to change schools.

When he found out about me and Cristin he lost his patience with me. Cheating on him with a girl was worse than cheating on him with a guy. We became seriously married, a house, kids, birthday parties.

We live in a small suburban town. Cristin lives not too far away. I cheat on my husband with her. Giving up on her is easier said than done. What my husband does is not my concern, what I don't know doesn't hurt me. I'm not ashamed any more, I love Cristin and Cristin loves me. I never lied to my husband, when I got married I didn't know I would fall in love with another girl.
