I just got my period and I was wondering how long you leave a tampon in for.. I am afraid to leave it in too long because I know you can get certain diseases from that, but I also don't want to leave it in for too short of a time and end up using more than I need to. Please help.. sorry about the period question I know it's not something anyone wants to talk about.

A tampon can be worn from 4 to 8 hours, unless your flow is heavy. Remember to wear the right absorbency for each day of your period. Tampons come in light, slim, regular, and super. Always remove the last tampon at the end of your period, and NEVER wear a tampon when you don't have your period.
