I was clothing shopping this last weekend and dragged my BF along. There was a mid-length pleated skirt that he thought I'd look cute in but I didn't want to try it on. I've always thought that pleated skirts were something that adults made little girls wear so that it was easy to spank them when they were naughty (at least that's the way it seemed when I was growing up).

This wasn't a little short thing and it was perfectly dignified, but I just have a problem with it. I did buy it anyway but I really want to take it back. Am I wrong?

Nobody cares about your childhood issues!!! Maybe your bf wants to spank you...

Spank me? I certainly hope not. And I'm glad that you managed to make it into adulthood without any ideas planted in your head by your childhood. How did you manage that?

If you like it wear it; if not, don't. Now was this really worth the time it took to post.

Except for practical skirts like tennis and golf, I can see why you might think that about inappropriate short ones. Longer ones can be rather slimming - was your boyfriend bullshitting you or did it really look good?

You're an adult (older, i assume) so it's time to move on.

Ok, thanks. I know that of course, but I don't want to feel like I'm sending messages.
