you have cramping wow! I could walk around all day and not know I've started my period too. I don't get cramps. I'm not a heavy bleeder. No I'm not on birth control. I don't feel like crap before during or after. Yes I know I'm lucky compared to some. News flash to you not every one gets intense cramps or heavy bleeding so that they feel wet so yes it is possible that a woman may not know they've even started their period.

Well that will change as you get older so enjoy your pain free periods because the flow will increase and so will the cramps.

BTW I'm 39, the flow is no where near what it was when I was younger the cramps existed then, not now. I guess Things get easier as I get older.

Is it just me or when one woman says her cycle is pretty easy the woman who has horrible cycles always says just wait 'til .....?

My real point: NO 2 WOMEN ARE ALIKE and when are the whiners going to realize it.

I know it when I'm having my period & I'm having it right now ( I know that's more than you need to know & I apologize) & I get killer cramps & backaches.

Mine have always been irregular and extremely painful.
I get tired, crabby, back aches, and terrible cramping with headaches a few days before and during.
I am 38 now, and the pain has lessened over the years(I used to have to stay in bed all day). The bleeding is still intense, although it has lessened somewhat.
I am quite jealous of those who can function normally during their periods, and even more jealous of those who do not even know when they are menstruating.

A solution is a Hysterectomy. Girl I know had one when she was about 25 and that was the end of all her bloody times.
