Hirsutism (from Latin hirsutus = shaggy, hairy) is defined as excessive and increased hair growth in women in locations where the occurrence of terminal hair normally is minimal or absent. See the first reply for a more dictionary-style definition. First, you spelled it wrong. Second, your message stated, or at the very least implied, that someone hirsute has a lot of pubic hair. While someone who is hirsute <i>could</i> have a lot of pubic hair, that need not be the case.

hirsuit means that a woman has a lot of hair down below and that she does not shave. She has a hairy patch like a gorilla that would need a bush hogg to cleanly crop her public hair down below. Most women today are not hirsuit. They are either closely cropped or clean shaven. I am an expert on hairy patches !!!

This is <i>not</i> what hirsute means. It might be what some porn site says it means, but hirsute is merely a synonym for hairy. Some one with lots of chest hair could be described as hirsute. It does not only pertain to pubic hair.

Listen pal, i dated quite a few gals in the 70's and 80's that had so much pubic hair it was coming out of their panties and they would never wear a bikini to the beach. What those women said is accurate, as far as the definition goes - they were/are hairy. This does not mean, however, that a man with a hairy chest or a woman with hairy arms cannot also be described as hirsute. The original post implied that hirsute means excessive pubic hair. This is incorrect. That's all, chill out.

I think body hair is NASTY!!! I mean it is fine to have hair (I love long hair on guys) and the normal hair like your eyebrows but i don't like facial hair otherwise. i like the happy trail and a little hair o the arms. don't get me wrong i don't want a guy who shaves more than i do, but excessively hairy people are gross.
