I've been able to see the future for several years now. And it sucks. Not just the future, but the ability itself.

The main problem is what some science-fiction writer called "The Cassandra Effect" after an ancient seer who could predict the future but no one ever believed her. It's like being stuck buried up to your neck while a freight train heads straight for you.

You won't believe me now, but I'll say it.

The riots are a few months away. Then the garrisoning of the cities and declaration of martial law. Then the Federal Empire will stop pretending. Those without a ReadID card will be executed in the streets. American Troops will do firesweeps of American towns and kill all the residents for "unAmericanism". Volunteer Militias will be attacking Army bases within two years.

And when the Empire feels that America has been pacified, they will turn their attention to the rest of the world. The nuclear war will kill a third of the human race. That will be in about eight years.

And the Big Election? It doesn't matter who wins - the REAL power-brokers are unelected and hidden from our sight.

And the Second Coming? It happened over a thousand years ago. The Rapture, the Reign, all of it - it's been and gone. And you never noticed it.

No one will believe me. But that doesn't matter - it's been said.

I still carry my sign that says, the world will end tomorrow.

I remember a quote by Martin Luther: "I live like tomorow is the last day, but I'll still plant apple trees."

I wanted someone to say "you're crazy" and "This will not happen" and then give me a logical reason why I'm wrong.
Nobody has doen that. Because all of you see it too. Whether you admit it or not.

Or perhaps because what you said was stupid and no one cares. That's another distinct possibility.

Well, if the rapture did in fact happen and you are still here doesn't that make you a filthy sinner like the rest of us stuck here on Earth?

Welcome to hell on Earth!

And now you know that none of this ever happened and it has all be a self delusion.
