I almost kissed her.
My best friend and I run a business together,

I think my crush on her started at his graduation

Fast forward several years and we are running our

At the end of the night after we had time to calm down

To giggle along with me and got that glassy look in her
Eyes you see on the second date or in the movies, she even
Touched my arm a few times which started my pulse all
Over again. When she finished talking she tilted her head
Slightly and started to lean in with that look still in her eyes.

Without thinking, I leaned in to close the gap. Halfway
( with an employee looking on in amazement) through the
Motion her eyes shot back to reality and she shook her
Head slightly as if to come back to reality.

I was stunned by how close I had come to kissing her without
Even thinking. We both shared a (forced) laugh and joked
About how affectionate her Italian family is, and just like that
She walked away. Leaving me with my head swimming and adrenaline
Pumping. The employee looked away and pretended nothing
Happened.

We never talk about it and probably never will, but I still
Wonder if she thinks about it and just what could have/would
Have happened if we had been alone. Yup, still have that crush.
