My Family
-
So my birthday is March 10. I don't usually care about any sort of celebration or gift because one week later is St. Patrick's day. I'm Irish and a fan of beer so I like to combine the two days into one. All I want is the time to go out and have a few pints on Paddy's day and be asleep by 11pm. Seems reasonable to me.
This year, on my birthday, I got a wii, and I took care of my toddler for 14 hours because my wife teaches a dance class. I could care less about the wii, which is more of a gift for the family than me. Last year on my birthday I received a hand written coupon from my wife promising me a wii. So that was special. I can't even rent Resident Evil.
I had been saying that all I wanted was for my wife to have a "bring your kids night" at her dance class (which she's done before) so I could have the night to myself. Nope.
So I had another 14 hour day with my kid, whom I adore but is exhausting and went to bed without having any beer.
To summarize; got a year old promise fulfilled, played blocks and changed diapers, got my hopes up for the following week only to relive my birthday...and not one blowjob...fuck
Am I being a bitch or do I have a right to complain?
