Pee Soup
So I recently found my mom doing something really weird, and I haven't really recovered yet.
(I hope my English is ok, it's not my first language).
Some background: For as long as I can remember my mom has always loved cooking, especially from homegrown and natural ingredients. Just as long, there's this one soup she makes that has basically become a favorite of mine. I won't go into detail, but it's basically a spicy vegetable soup. She makes it for me quite often, about once a week, to have before dinner.
It's just me an her at home, so she always say it's no big deal to make something for me specifically, and that she does so with love.
Now, I don't usually watch her prepare it. I spend a lot of time in my own room, gaming with friends, doing homework, or for other private reasons. Plus, she always says she doesn't like me looking over her shoulder while she cooks. It's never really caused an issue.
About a week ago I was in that same situation. My mom was making soup (and other dinner) in the kitchen, and I was in my bedroom doing my thing. For a bunch of reasons (we got wiped pretty quickly and my friends didn't feel like another match) I ended up having little to do pretty early on. I made my way downstairs to see how dinner was coming along, which is unusual for me. Usually I'm in my room until she lets me know dinner is ready. I honestly don't know why I did something different this time. Didn't really think about it.
I must've been pretty quiet coming down, she clearly hadn't heard me.
When I got to the point where I could see into the kitchen, through the doorway (it doesn't have an actual door, it's just a gap in the wall), I saw and heard something really weird: One of the bit pots was on the kitchen floor, and my mom was sitting on it. She had the bottom of her dress sort of pulled up (I couldn't really see her bum, but she was holding it out of the way) and she was clearly pissing into the pot. I could hear the obvious sound of a stream of water hitting water. She had her back to the doorway, so she didn't notice me. My immediate instinct was to move away and give her privacy, but my curiosity got the better of me: Why would she be pissing in a pot on the kitchen floor, instead of just going to the bathroom? So I moved to the side, where I wasn't standing openly in the doorway, but where I could still see inside.
She was pissing in it for a while (I didn't count, but it must've been like 30 seconds). Then she got up and picked up the pot (at this point she would've clearly seen me if I hadn't been hidden). She put the pot on the stove, and started adding the chopped up vegetables that had been on the counter! I realized then that she hadn't just been peeing in some random pot, but in the soup she was making for me!
I was shocked and confused and didn't know what to do, so I just retreated back to my bedroom. When she called for me, half an hour later, that dinner was ready, I had half convinced myself that I'd just imagined things, or misinterpreted what I saw. She seemed perfectly normal during dinner, and there was bowl of soup ready for me. I tried it and it tasted exactly the same as it always did (that is to say: amazing). At that point I really didn't know what to do, so I just ate it. I thought I must've seen it wrong, or something. I refused a second bowl though, claiming I was feeling a bit sick.
Now that I had some more time to think on it though, there's no way I just "imagined" something like that. But that still doesn't explain what I saw. Why would she pee in the soup? And if that is true, does she always do that? Was she mad at me or is this some weird perverse thing? Could it be part of her whole "natural and biological ingredients" thing (I heard something like that before but it doesn't really seem to fit her)? She never has any herself though, she says she doesn't like it as much as I do.
I'm thinking I need to doublecheck what I saw somehow. I can't exactly walk up to her and ask about it... (she could just say I saw it wrong or whatever). Maybe I should try hiding my phone in the kitchen next time she makes it, see if I can record her doing it.
If anyone else has good ideas, that would be appreciated.
