1. It is a sin to divorce unless you know your husband is having an affair, which gives you right to Leave.
2. The best thing you can do for yourself is push yourself to exercise and become healthier. It's clear you're husband is happy and making you unhappy. But you will feel better about yourself if you make a change in your body. There could be a chance that it will rekindle your love. Maybe your husband wants to see you back to the way you were when you got married...
3. I know what it feels like to be rejected. I often sometimes feeling Makin love to my man is what keeps us close and am often hurt when he rejects me or says he's too tired or something..
4. It's normal for you to have feelings for Allen especially if its possible he is the father to one of your kids. And seeing how a man can be with kids makes a difference on our perspective for them, and seeing Allen and how he's great with the kids is what you really want your husband to be. You need to have a serious discussion with your husband.
Ask why don't you make love?
Is he unhappy?
Is it because of you or something you've done or become?
Is there anyway you could make him happy again?
Tell him what you expect of him as a husband. And make changes as a wife. And if he really loves you, he will make these changes with you in order to keep your relationship. If not I'd say go Ur own way and be real with him about your love for another man and explain exactly why it has come to this. Because of his lack of affection for you or the kids, constant drinking, and inability to have a conversation with you.
Ignore the other comment. Dude sounds totally like he's gay, either that or long term in love with someone else. I'd put money on the idea he's gay though. It must be terrible for him day after day living a lie but it's totally unfair to make you pay for the choices he has made. You did not hold a gun to his head and make him marry you - it was him who decided to play it straight!
He might not be able to let go of his own unhappy lie but maybe you can. Set up a different home, postal address, bank account etc and move out! You don't need a divorce to do that. Then you write him a letter and you tell him that you love him like a brother and you can see how hurt he is inside. You are letting him go now and that you want him to let go too and find himself. You remind him that he is a father and that his children need him to be true to himself so that they can learn to grow up and be who they really are and not hide from anyone. Don't put anything about Allen in the letter and don't say anything about the idea of him being gay. You tell him that you're filling for divorce (I'm not sure if you can do it on the grounds of your own adultery... or if you can just say "irreconcilable differences"). Your husband sounds so far back in the closet that I think he would be ashamed if people knew he just wasn't living up to his husbandly duties. He seems ashamed to be true to himself but is behaving like a miserable child because he has suffocated himself... in a similar way the other person giving you advice above me would have you suffocate yourself. If that looser wants to live in Deadendsville you leave them to it! Any loving god is going to support you in living the truth.
You can carry on living with a man who makes you miserable or you can make a change. Good luck!
btw ... make all arrangements in secret. Your husband may be unhappy but he's so afraid to let go of this sham that he might turn violent in an attempt to scare you into dropping your plans. Do it quick and swift.
