I have an unhealthy obsession, I'm in love with intelligent cartoon characters. Not a fling or infatuation, but real, deep love. I thought this problem subsided in my childhood when I got over the cartoons being cancelled (finally), but now I'm getting ready to turn 26 and guess what... they came back with a vengeance, big time. I mean this is to the point where I can't watch Sonic the Hedgehog or the Animaniacs without without feeling a ton of depression, all because I know in the back of my mind that these people can only exist in my mind. Oh, cruel irony! I'll tell you the two men in my life.

Yakko Warner - Only the other love in my life can mirror how I feel for this person. He's witty, he's smart, he's very capable, and he's not afraid. To this day I still don't know what species of thing he is, but I would love to run my hand through his fur and smell him, then go have some wild escapades with him, his brother, and his sister. Those two have got to be a blast to hang around with.

Miles "Tails" Prower - Here is someone who displays intelligence and a child-like sense of curiosity. He was my first love in my life and a very, very powerful person who shaped my life. During my childhood I felt what it was really like to be in love with someone, but be unable to see them. It hurt really bad and got worse when it came back during my mid 20's.

Because of these feelings I'm repressed in some areas and past age 75 in others. It is almost impossible for me to get a woman (men seem to love me) all because I know who I love. On the other hand the feelings for these 2 give me a great sense of company and remind me that in my head I'm not really alone. This is a double-edged sword. I fear that if I tell my psychologist about it he'll try to resolve the problem by getting rid of the cause. I want these 2 in my life. I want to see them, hold them, caress them, smell then, be in their world.

I look at Yakko's smiling face and am charmed, he can get me to do anything. I look at Tails and am reminded of how honorable intelligence is. Oh, lovely childhood issues.
