I'm on my way to a acquintance's funeral, and I'm dreading it. I don't know how I'm going to keep my mouth shut as I hear people say he was a "good guy." He wasn't. He was a raging drunk who cheated his kids out of a childhood and was a pain in the ass to a lot of people. I hate hypocrisy, and this is going to be that very thing knee deep.

how did the funeral go? a couple of guys I know went to a funeral for a family member that broke out into a knock down drag out fight in front of the open casket...but they were from way south Louisiana, so they knew that was going to happen.

I hear that type of comment all the time. Why do you go? A funeral is to pay respect to the dead and to help the living move on. It does not sound like you had any attachment for the person, so unless you are going so you can spit on their casket or in their dead face, what's the point?

I don't do funerals if I don't "have to".
I want to remember them the way they were if I liked them.
I'm not having a funeral.
Dead
picked up.
Burned.
Bones smashed and blown into the wind - fuck the EPA
