Bi-Sexual Female / 35
Back when I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to have friends and we moved all the time. I moved out before turning 18, married, and settled into our first place. It was nice having a husband but I longed for a female friend and didn't know how to make friends.
Our old neighbors moved out and a new family moved in next door. They had three kids and the mother quickly became attached to me once we met. It was my dream come true thinking that I just made my first real friend.
Well my husband moved out into a bigger house as I stayed behind to sell the old one. He took everything so we could show the house we wanted to sell to the point that I slept on clothes for a bed.
I had a part time job, a dog, a boombox, few groceries, clothes, and a few basics. I ended up giving my neighbor my spare house key so she could let my dog out when I was at work.
My small paychecks had to cover gas money, cell phone bill, groceries, laundry money, and any extras. I met a male friend through work and we hung out but never did anything sexual together. He let me stay overnight once a week to help me cut back on gas money going to and from work. I didn't pick up another job since I thought that I was going to move at any given time.
Well my neighbor let my dog out for me and we hung out quite a bit. She started to help herself to my pop that I bought for work. In did things for her in return of her watching my dog including babysitting her kids for free on occasion.
A few cans of pop suddenly turned into my groceries, paper towels by the roll, my emergency change which was around $40.00, my dish soap, and even gasoline which was for my lawnmower...
It seriously felt like I was working for nothing and I also feared getting another job since she was helping herself to what little I had and it would only get worse.
With my desperation to having a female friend, keeping my dog, I allowed her mooching ways. In given time after going days with no food left to eat, I started to leave my groceries at my male friends place. This went on for 3 miserable years then my husband asked for a divorce.
My male friend was by my side when my husband asked for that divorce, he thought my husband was being a fool but he had developed feelings for me and knew that I was a good woman.
So I'm left with an empty house and no way of being able to afford the house payments. My male friend who at that time was only a friend, got news that his house was being foreclosed on. It was an illegal foreclosure but he had to move out. I asked him if he wanted to move in with me and we both will work and figure things out. He happily accepted the offer and we eventually married.
I asked my female friend for my house key claiming I lost mine and will make a copy for her later. Even at that, she was pissy about handing it over and she would still beg me for things all the time.
I really hate my mooching neighbor who took advantage of my situation and the friendship that I had to offer.
Now I'm happily married to a wonderful man, he is my best friend, my lover, my soul mate, and everything that a wife could ever ask for.
It took a few years but I finally cut ties with my mooching neighbor who thinks the world revolves around her and her "babies"...She and her husband both had good paying full time jobs but still chose to blow their paychecks at the bars and Red Lobster on occasion then took my food and all that I could barely afford in the first place.
