I sued my greedy and cheap exlandlord in court and lost. The reason- because the written documents I showed the judge did not count- only if I read them out loud. The judge did not tell me I had to state everything verbally. Also, if you think a picture is worth a thousand words, forget about it- I had photos of when I moved in and when I left, the place was immaculate, but my photos did not count either. That bitch woman blatantly lied and made deductions that were over the top and ludicrous and she got away with it. She is rich, I am poor, and she had to steal from me. Unfortunately I cannot express the degree of wrong that has gone on here, I am so angry and bitter over getting fucked over. The lying scumbags always win and the little person gets shit on. For two years I babysat her physically impaired husband until he died, I was entrusted with the key to her house in case of an emergency, I cleaned her house and was referred by her to others because I was honest and did a very fast and thorough job, and I cleaned that place as well- up to my usual high standards. I got a royal screw- this bitch gave herself $10 to clean a trailer and it "took her 7 hours" when she only paid me $6 an hour- and that place was cleaned top to botton! No justice! I wish she'd get maimed in a car accident or that someone would rape her old ugly mean greedy lying fat ass. She acts so high falooting because she and her husband owned a NoTell Motel. He built the business up from scratch, she was a chambermaid changing sheets, scrubbing toilets and picking up used rubbers, so she fucked the boss, they got married, and now she thinks she's big queen shit. Fuck her.

I do feel sorry for you. However, there is free legal advice in the judicial system. This can be from lawyers (pro bono), paralegals,or you could have looked up court procedures on the internet.
Most attorneys do not charge for the initial consultation- you could have went that route.
I am not slamming you- just pointing where to look for legal advice if you need it in the future.

Thank you- I did get a consultation with the lawyer who told me to sue for the 9 days we were not there, that $10 an hour and 7 hours was excessive, going rate more like $6 or $7, that she was tresspassing when she was going in there before the month was over, that the photos showed the place was spotless and the judge would see right through her.I guess the landlord knew the judge or something. Sometimes you just can't win. The only way I could have proven my case was to videotape myself cleaning although I doubt that would have worked either.
