Why is it when you call for the cops they take an entire century to show up?

Last year I was almost attacked. I called the police from my cell phone while the attacker was still there taunting me, I begged and pleaded for the police to hurry come. The Police took an hour and fifteen min to show up. They told us no units were in the area at the time.
I am sure if they got a call about a dead body being found, about 20-30 units would show up in less than 5 min. so why is it I am a living person in a life or death situation and they don't show up in sufficient time?

It depends:
1) Did you call 911?
2) Did municipal police or a sheriff's office respond to your call?
3) How old are you?
4) Are you female?
5) How were you "attacked"?
6) Did you have marks, bruises, cuts, etc. from this altercation?
7) Was there a firearm involved?
8) Exactly how long did it take the police to arrive?
9) Do you call the police frequently?

The poolice don't get in a hurry in a situation like that because there is a threat to thier well-being, where-as when a call comes in about a dead body, the threat is gone. Also you have to remember that to be a city cop, there is only one qualifacation, that is to know how to tie thier shoes. Embarrassing to watch them come running out of the donut shop and trip on thier shoe laces.

Are poolice bugs that live in the pool?

Then again poolice could be the ice that forms in the pool during the winter.
