Let me first say, thank God no one got hurt.

I'm beating myself up over this. I've driven home after having a drink or two before. It's not that big of a deal.

But last night. I went to a friend's bachelor party and had more to drink that I can even remember. I hadn't planned to, but everyone was there getting hyped up and we started having chugging contests and it just all went downhill. I knew I was seriously messed up. I couldn't stand up very well and I was hardly able to talk. How in the hell anyone let me get in the car I have no idea.

Anyway, I got in the car and started driving off. I was trying my best to focus, but everything was blurry and I was seeing double. It took everything I had to keep in my lane. The lines on the road seemed to be moving away from me.

I made a turn onto a busy highway, into the oncoming lane. Oh, my God. I'm that guy. I'm the guy that turns into the wrong lane, hitting someone head on, killing a family of five and everyone reads about it in the paper and says, "How on earth can someone do something like that?" I don't even know how I got into the wrong lane or how I ended up getting out, but I remember making the turn and immediately seeing traffic heading straight toward me. How in the world I didn't get pulled over is nothing short of a miracle. I was doing everything wrong.

Well, fortunately no one was hurt and I made it home. I've never had the shit scared out of me like that in my life. This is a lesson learned. Never, ever again will I drink and drive.

If you were that drunk you wouldn't have noticed the traffic comming at you. You said you have driven before after drinking, your a drunk and the wreck you discribed is just waiting to happen. Do everybody a favor and turn in your drivers lic. before you kill somebody.

Anyone who leaves their home to drink to the point of drunkeness is begging for problems. If you leave your home drunk, you have a drinking problem. If you cant afford your own place, you shouldn't spend your money on intoxicating substances. If you are too young to have your own place you are too young to drink.

Okay...you managed to get home without killing anyone.
And you say NEVER AGAIN....I hope you mean that because this could also go the other way too, you might think, whilst slightly tipsy `well, I`m not as drunk as that night...' and you might think you could deffinately drive home. The limits are set for a reason, they were made by professionals of which the majority of us are not and yet....`I wasnt as drunk as that night' `Oh I`ll be ok....'chortling hysterically. NEVER take your car with you EVER!!! Because any substance changes our perceptions...we trust our befuddled brains that have been made `invinicible' by whatever chemical. The best thing is to just get taxi`s/cabs. That way you`ll know in sobriety you will not become a murderer....nor kill or worse maim...yourself included.

Two of my friends got into horrible accidents driving drunk. One hit a brick wall and broke his colar/both arms/right rist/and hip. And the other drove into someones living room, but didnt injure anyone (including himself). I hope it doesnt take someone else being hurt for you to realize that driving drunk is no joke, and one time is one time too many
