So I am all of 28 and I have three kids, the oldest is 11, I have a nine year old and a three year old.

I was 12 when my life went to hell. My parents were divorced and my father was long gone, my mother was an alcoholic and started doing drugs, she lost several jobs and had turned to prostitution. When I was saved I was just turning 15, we were in an apartment and my mother took care of her tricks there. I would go out and walk around while they were with her. That day, the day I was saved, I was sitting on the steps when the man that was renting the apartment next door came home early from work.

He talked to me, and asked me about my clothes, he saw that I had a bad burn on my hand, and that my glasses didn't fit and neither did my clothes. And they were filthy. He also saw that I was real skinny, malnourished. He asked me when I had eaten and I told him to never mind, but he was insistent and I told him yesterday.

He took me by the wrist and marked me to his door and took me inside. His apartment was clean and he only had a couch and a tv. He told me to wash up, he meant wash up, take a shower and get cleaned up. He fixed some dinner and made me sit and eat it, slapping my hand for not holding my fork correctly. He made me tell him I wasn't going to school. He made me tell what my mother did.

After my mother's trick left, he walked over there with me and almost puked when he went in. He said WTF about ten times, well maybe 20 times. My mother was high, and he told her he was taking her with me, she said good riddance. That is how I moved in next door. I got clothes that fit from Target, I was taken to the mall and got a new set of glasses after an examination that fit and were the right prescription, I had my teeth cleaned and several fillings done, I learned I needed braces, I had my hair cut at a proper stylist, had a pedicure and a pedicure, the burn on my hand was cured, and I ate and slept and ate and slept. Two months went by before he took me to this parochial school and enrolled me.

I didn't know that he had gone back to my mother and gotten a release signed and had himself named as my guardian. That is when he enrolled me in school.

I had always liked school and although I was a full grade behind, I did well and my life was normal. He moved us away from that apartment complex, into a duplex with a small yard and he got me a dog. The dog was the idea of the counselor at school. I had duties, chores, and all.

We did have an inappropriate contact, one night I went and got in bed with him, and would not leave. We hugged until he made me his woman. He thought he had pulled out in time but he hadn't and I got pregnant. This made matters real bad, he was my guardian and I was a minor and I was pregnant. Fortunately at that school there were several pregnant teens and I just stayed pregnant until my time came and I delivered at the local clinic. I had not gone to see a doctor during my pregnancy, but all was ok, I was well fed and I was healthy.

At 17 with a baby he went to see a friend of his who was a lawyer and we petitioned the judge to get married. I had to go through psychological counseling, the people from welfare came by, but in the end it was determined that I was his wife anyway, and I had his baby and I wanted to get married and I was 17 already and I was allowed to get married. That date is forever registered in my mind.

I quickly had another baby and graduated with my GED afterwards. Then we moved to Texas.

I went to junior college and then finished at a four year Catholic college with a degree in management. It took me five years to graduate, with two kids and a demanding husband. If nothing else, I was into time management.

with my degree I had another baby, and now I have a job working in HR at a small fabrication company.

What my husband did was inappropriate, really it was. He should have sent me away that night. I was ready to be a woman and he desperately wanted me as a woman, but still no excuse. We know that. We failed. But it was also the right thing. It was the real thing for us. My baby made me grow up and made me focus on my life with him.

I am 28 and I have three kids. And we still have our dog.
