my mother has been trying to set me up with a good boy for the last 7 years, not the same boy, but you know a good boy, the all American boy next door type. i am so not interested. before last night i just told her that i am not ready to be married off, but last night we got into a real argument. i hadn't intended to, but in the heat of our screaming at each other, i blurted out that i haven't ever been attracted to males. that was the start of a conversation that took us well into this morning. aside from the prospect of not having grandchildren, she is ok with me never getting married or that i am lesbian.

i confessed that Aunt Kathy, mom's youngest sister, was my first love and she confessed that her and Kathy used to have lesbian lovers when they were in college. it's a side of my mom i had never known about. the more we talked the more i realized just how similar mom and i are. she only married to please her mother, so since my father died, she has not been looking to get married. Her and Aunt Kathy take care of each other's needs between personal lovers.

that freaks me out, thinking of my mom and her sister getting together, but maybe even more that Aunt Kathy and i still do from time to time too. yes, my thoughts went threre too, and that freaks me out even more--an all in the family 3-some.
