I need to get this off my chest. I've had a dog for about 3 or 4 years. I loved this dog very much. It was just like my child. But then whenever I would pet another dog, this one would get extremely jealous. I couldn't bear to keep it, but as attached as it was, I knew it wouldn't be happy to be with anyone else. I had to visit a friend for a week and while I was away, it didn't eat for 4 days. One night I couldn't take it any more. I gave it a bunch of pills mixed with something else. It was like a bad dream. I couldn't stop my hands from doing what they were doing. By the time we got to the vet, it was too late. I feel soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo guilty. It was my baby. It was so stoned that it mercifully didn't feel much of anything. I admit I have mental problems. I can't believe what I did to it. I blame myself but no one knows what I did. I can't admit to it. I'm so ashamed and didn't know any other place to tell. I'd give anything to have it back, but things didn't turn out that way. I am not going back in here. I don't know or care what you will say to me. It can't be any worse than what I have already said to myself. I hate myself and wish I could have taken all the effects. Can't change things. Lord knows I would if I could. I know there will be some in here that will tear me apart limb from virtual limb for doing something like that. Understand, I will NEVER do that again. If I ever get that bad again, I will leave the apartment for a few hours. I PROMISE. If you are reading this not understanding how someone could do this to "their baby", that makes two of us. I don't want to think about it anymore. I ask forgiveness to my dog a million times a day. I will go on rescuing unwanted dogs and try to give them the love that my baby is missing out on.

What will you do when you wake up and find out that the one you gave pills to was really a child, and not a dog?

"...Understand, I will NEVER do that again."

Of course you will. Denial/guilt/rationalising-cycling are part of your illness. Statistically, the rate of suicide for those afflicted with your generic hebephrenia is not nearly high enough. Don't worry about it. Just go get another tattoo.

I hope like hell you can never have children. And you may say you'll never do it again but you will. God forbid anyone ever have to rely on you to take care of them for the rest of their life, you'd kill even your own parents if you got tired of taking care of them if they were bedridden. Somebody else will piss you off and you'll try the same thing again and when you do, I hope your ass gets busted and sent up the river to state prison to rot for the rest of your life.

Your evil and selfish, I agree with 1877. Are you a man or woman? I hope you stay far from kids. People like you say stuff like that after you rape, molest and eat people.

People in this world have done worst to other people. I am sorry for the dog, but I feel more for some humans that have had worse done to them.

I don't think you should look for or help any other pet.
You're no help at all. No more dogs and...don't have children!!!!!

I don't think you value your own life very highly. People who do are usually more respectful of others' lives --even pets.

I hate to tell you this, but your dog would have eventually gotten over you if you had put it in an animal shelter.

Don't beat yourself up so much. Eventually you'll die and go to hell.

I'm sure the dog is happy to now be rid of you.

eeew. you must feel terrible. i would feel terrible. but doing this to an animal at least is less punishable than doing it to a human. you could join the army and go get metals for killing. or you could just consider it your lowest point, walk away from future frustrating situations instead of commiting animal homocide. and try to find some healthy joy in life. a good therapist might be cool too. but since you feel sooooo bad your probably not a psychopath. I would find a new outlet for your anger like writing or mountain climbing. and NO more pets.

This is serious. Do you realize that more often than not, people who harm defenseless animals usually end up hurting (and murdering) people? You need to see a psychiatrist NOW.
