Why always 10? Didn't the punishment ever fit the severity of the crime? What sorts of things got you 10 smacks?

Maybe if you had done something to your sister - what do you suppose your sister would have done to you?

My mother would never have stopped at just 10 hand spanks if I had done something really awful. 10 brush smacks, perhaps, but 10 hand smacks isn't much of spanking. Especially not for a repeat offender as you were.

So what you're saying is that your mother knew you liked to be spanked so she would, every couple of days, give you a couple of spanks?
